It really is the little things that help out so much when you are a new mom. Like the time that I realized how much my child was fussing in her maclaren double stroller because the foot rest was not up high enough. Actually a lady at the supermarket mentioned that my daughter was sitting in the stroller and kept reaching her foot out for the foot rest. When I looked down she had practically squirmed her way out of the seat because she wanted to put her feet on something secure. It just took one little adjustment to the foot rest and my girl was happy again.

I am wondering what I would need to do to qualify for actuarial work. Do I need a degree in actuarial science? I was thinking of getting an economics degree, but I also think I might like to be an actuary. Is it possible to qualify for these jobs without an actuarial science degree? Is there anywhere I can go to find out more information about what I would need to do to get actuarial jobs after graduation? I know there are some exams you need to take. If I can pass the exams without the degree is that good enough?

I’ve been curious lately about Nursing Home Neglect.
Grandma had a nightmarish experience at the first nursing home she ended up at. We didn’t find out for months.
In my worst nightmares I never imagined I’d have to deal with Elder Abuse And Neglect, but that’s how it goes.
We’re much more vigilant now, of course, and we have her at a much better place now, so things should be much better.
Gotta Run for now. More later.

Deciding whether or not to put a loved one in a nursing home can be a very emotional decision. It can cause in-fighting and trouble between relatives, or cause financial strain on those who are “footing the bill”. It’s important to really think about whether an elder care nursing home is the right decision.
