Deciding whether or not to put a loved one in a nursing home can be a very emotional decision. It can cause in-fighting and trouble between relatives, or cause financial strain on those who are “footing the bill”. It’s important to really think about whether an elder care nursing home is the right decision. Unfortunately, if the elderly loved one in question is unable to care for themselves, and there are no relatives available to help them out in their daily lives, it may be the only choice! It’s a big decision, but it’s one that may have to be made, if the relative can no longer live alone.
