Whether you are working or not you should be aware of your rights in case of sexual harassment. Harassment of sexual nature is unlawful as per the Federal law. For example, if a boss asks his assistant to sleep with him to get a promotion or pay raise, then in this case the assistant, whether she agrees or not to the condition made by her boss, has got the right to claim against the harassment. It is to be harassment in the workplace noted here that if she does sleep with her boss and gets the promotion then also she has a claim because her approving to the boss's sexual demands was a condition of her promotion or pay raise. This is an example of quid pro quo sexual harassment.
