Knowing Your Computer Jargon

February 26th, 2008 . by admin

So, you fancy yourself as a computer programmer? When it comes to computer programming terminology, it pays to be enlightened about the most common jargon in the industry. Among some widespread words in computer programming terminology include “beta”, the infancy stage of a yet-to-be-released software in which bugs are still rampant and needs to be vanquished. “Bomb” is a general word for “crash”, in which a software or operating system failure has occurred drastically, much to the consternation of the programmer. And “English” is a noun that refers to the program source code, as opposed to complicated machine codes or “binary”.
