New weight loss drugs

Weight loss drugs work by increasing the serotonin levels in the brain, making the brain believe that the stomach is already full and thereby suppressing a person’s appetite. It was only after scientists discovered that these drugs had side effects and were related to heart valve disease that they were taken off the shelves. Since then, new weight loss drugs have been developed and doctors continue to prescribe them although they are all still awaiting FDA certification.
