Our neighborhood often participates in group activities and community projects. In one such meeting, the youngsters mooted for setting up a sauna center. They took the responsibility and invited the elders on the day of its inauguration. We were really amazed at their organizing ability as the sauna center housed bathing tubs of various types with the Japanese Soaking Tub being the prime attraction. The deep tubs could hold up to 80 gallons of water with depths measuring 24″ to 35”. Soaking in such hot water tubs, with water jets creating a whirlpool effect, would help in massaging the stressed muscles. The elders enjoyed the luxury of a steaming bath.
