I once heard the saying that fashions go in cycles, which means that fashions in all things end up coming back in one way or another. This is certainly true of my kitchen, because when I did a bit of redesigning a few months ago I spotted a set of retro barstools in my local department store, and realized they were almost exactly the same design as a set of bar stools I had owned almost 40 years ago. I’d forgotten how great they actually looked, and before I knew it I had bought them and brought them home. The funny thing is that once those retro bar stools were put in my kitchen I immediately wanted to redesign the whole kitchen and give it a true retro look, and that’s my next plan for the following months.
