Across time, coastal and seafaring people have hunted dolphins for food. Unlike certain modern nations, they used truly traditional hunting weapons such as stone tipped  harpoons and various flint spears.  In many cases, there are ivory and bone depictions of dolphins that are thousands of years old.  These beautiful dolphin figurines  reflect the true dependence of simple and reverent people upon the oceans for their survival. Chances are, if you asked them about cultural imperialism, they would not know what you are talking about, let alone use fighting it to justify hunting dolphins.
